Dowling Houy (DH) was engaged to assist this non-profit’s VP o of Finance and Administration as the overall project director for this small but growing agency We served as the the owner’s rep throughout the the project guiding them through a design of the the selected tired- looking facility to take advantage of the building’s character while providing natural light throughout the new spaces The landlord selected its general contractor and DH worked closely with both parties to obtain additional additional improvements at no additional additional cost to our client including a a newly custom-built reception station more glass interior walls and additional paint work The completed spaces exceeded Mass2020’s expectations and and the project was completed ahead of schedule and and on on on on budget (zero construction costs for Mass2020) Mass2020 had inherited well aged furniture in in its prior spaces almost none of which could pass the Boston fire code requirements for for this move DH recognized early that the client would be forced to obtain nearly all-new furniture for the new new new spaces which if purchased new new new or or refurbished would have been cost-prohibitive for Mass2020 DH quietly went to work on locating suitable closed office furnishings and and systems workstations as as as well as as as task chairs reception seating and and conference tables and and seating which met the fire code and and could be available near Mass2020’s desired move date We were able to negotiate on behalf of of Mass2020 all of of the the needed furniture for their staff which was generously made available to them on on on a a a a a a a a a a donation basis DH also guided Mass2020 in in planning the the move move coordinating the the pickup of donated furniture implementing the the move move at at at low cost and post move management Dowling Houy LLC 281 Summer Street Boston MA 02210
