How to Manage Your HSA

Paying Claims

You can use your HSA debit card for eligible medical expenses, but additionally you can use HSA funds to pay medical claims from your
spending account dashboard. There are a few ways you can do this. You can pay specific claims directly to a provider or reimburse
yourself for that claim that you paid out-of-pocket, or you can reimburse yourself in bulk for multiple claims or for other expenses like
dental or vision claims. Follow the steps below.

How to Pay a Claim Directly to a Provider or Reimburse Yourself for

Claim You Already Paid Out of Pocket.

Start by accessing your spending account
dashboard. You can reach the dashboard by
logging into highmarkbcbs.com, clicking the
Claims & Spending tab, then the blue Access
button. From the dashboard, click the menu icon in
the upper left, then Claim Activity.

From the Claim Activity page, you'll see a list of your
claims including approved and denied claims and
claims with action needed. Click Pay Claim next to
the claim you want to pay. You can also check the
box next to Already Paid if you want to mark that
you already paid this claim.

Fill out the additional required claim details, choose
whether you want to pay yourself or pay the provider
directly and submit.
