BCBS Global Core

A benefit for Medical Plan Participants for Business or Personal Travel!

To take advantage of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Core program, whether you are traveling or living abroad, please
follow these steps:
1. Before you leave:
o Carry your current Blue Plan ID card.
o In an emergency, go directly to the nearest hospital.
o If you need to locate a doctor or hospital, or need medical assistance services, call the BCBS Global Core (800) 810-
2583 or call collect at (804) 673-1177
o You will need to pay upfront for care received from a doctor and/or non-participating hospital. Then complete a
BCBS Global Core claim form and send it with the bill(s) to the BCBS Global Core (the address is on the form). The
claim form is available in ADP or online at www.bcbsglobalcore.com (ensure all claims are translated to English
prior to submission).
