well prepared and recorded our second shutout of the season,” Scharton said. “I was very pleased with their performance.”
The defense was anchored by Ray Alvarado, who had five tackles, while Brian Campbell had an interception and four tackles. Joshua Sanchez also recorded four tackles.
“On offense we were able to run and throw the ball with consistency throughout the game,” stated Scharton.
Magaña was 13 of 16 with 246 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Dinuba onslaught. Magaña, who connected on a 21-yard scoring play to senior tight end Johnathan Calderon in the first quarter, got the Emperors on the board 12 seconds into the 2nd quarter on a 22-yard pass play to running back Jacob Huerta.
Up 13-0 with a little over four minutes remaining, Joshua Martinez ripped off a 69-yard touchdown run increasing the lead to 19-0. The Emperors struck again with 2:57 before the half as Jaime Ramirez caught a

the city’s Youth Sports Programs. Coaching information, clinics and meetings will be offered on rules, drills, and policies necessary to be a successful coach. All coaches and volunteers are required to be fingerprinted and have a background check. Details: 559 591-5940.
• The 10th annual Rabobank Fiesta/Walk Run will take place in downtown Reedley on Saturday, October 13. The 5-mile run is a 30 point “Valley Runner of the Year” series event.
Packet Pickup will be held October 12 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Reedley Community Center.
