Registration for the Dinuba High baseball camp underway

Former Dinuba High standoout Marcus McMaryion along with teammate KeeSean Johnson will be in Florida this weekend as they represent Fresno State on the 2019 East-West Shrine game that will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, Florida. Both players will be coached by Adam Zimmer, who will lead the West team, while opposing him is the East team coached by Carolina Panthers’ defensivie line coach Sam Mills III. The game will be televised live on the NFL Network.

Fomer DHS standouts help Reedley College to a
pair of wins

The Reedley College womens basketball team will have to huge Central Valley Conference games slated this upcoming week.
The Lady Tigers are 10-7 overall and 2-0 in conference play and are tied with College of Sequoias and Merced.
Reedley will host COS on Saturday and the Blue Devils on Wednesday, Jan. 23.
In a game against host Taft College, former Dinuba High standouts Samantha Mendoza scored 16 points and Stephanie Cervantes came off the bench to score 14 as Reedley rolled to a 93-59 victory.
The Lady Tigers had opened conference play with a 55-44 road win over West Hills on Jan. 9.
Cervantes recorded a double double scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds.

The 2019 Dinuba High School baseball camp for ages 7-14 takes place from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 on the varsity baseball field at Washington Intermediate School.
Registration will be at 9 a.m. and cost is $25.
Campers will receive an Emperor baseball shirt, lunch
and instructions from DHS coaches and players. Campers need to wear appropriate baseball attire and bring cleats, glove and bat if possible. In addition, please indicate what position you want to sign up for: infield, outfield, pitcher, or catcher.

Annual Dinner-Dance to be held on February 9

The Dinuba High girls basketball program presents the 4th Annual Father Daughter Sweetheart Dinner-Dance from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 in the Dinuba High East gym.
Tickets are $30 per couple in advance $10 each additional daughter. All ages welcome.
Tickets will be sold at the door for $40 per couple.

Youth golf clinic and movie night at Ridge Creek on Jan. 20

A youth golf clinic and movie night will be held at Ridge Creek Golf Course on Sunday, Jan. 20.
The clinic is a two-hour session from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and will cover short game instruction, putting, golf swing fundamentals, chipping, course

Doors open for the family movie night at 5:30 p.m.

California Storm girls basketball team to hold tryouts next month

California Storm, an elite Nike sponsored club girls basketball program, is coming to the central region.
Cal Storm will be holding team specific tryouts starting in February of 2019, at various gymnasiums throughout San Luis Obispo and Fresno County. All athletes are invited to tryout. Thereafter, weekly practices
and skills clinics will be held in the following age divisions: 10U, 11U, 13U, 14U, and High School. Teams will consist of female athletes from the following counties: San Luis Obispo, Tulare, Kern, Kings, Fresno, and Santa Barbara. Quicio scores six points for COS in a win over FCC

Former Orosi High basketball standout MaRazelle Quicio scored six points and two assists as the College of Sequoias defeated Fresno City, 89-70.
The Giants improved to 17-2 overall and 2-0 in Central Valley Conference play. They had four players in double figures led by Shae Sanchez’s team-high 17 points.
COS was scheduled to face
Merced on Wednesday night. The Giants entered the game No. 4 in the state and the Blue Devils are ranked No. 3.
The Giants will be playing at Reedley College on Saturday at 6 p.m.
