A head-on collision in the 100 block of West El Monte Way caused delays on Friday afternoon. The collision occured around 5 p.m. in the turning lane in front of Walgreens. Injuries were reported.

Monday, July 30
• A trespasser was reported in the 400 block of Alice Street at 3:26 a.m. A subject (reported as an ex-boyfriend) was knocking on the windows and attempting to take screen off.
• A loose pitbull, white with black spots, was reported in the 1200 block of East Sierra Way at 8:40 a.m.
•A suspicious subject was reported near the dog park on Nebraska Avenue at 2:30 p.m. The subject was reportedly looking into people's yards and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a straw hat.
• Theft was reported in the 700 block of West El Monte Way at 4:46 p.m. Subject was last seen wearing a red striped shirt and blue jeans and was with another male wearing a Raiders hat, black shirt and blue jeans.
• Neighbors were reportedly throwing trash into neighbors property in the 1100 block of East Academy Way at 8:19 p.m.
Tuesday, July 31
• A noise complaint was reported in the 1100 block of East Whittaker Way at 2:46 a.m. Subjects were reportedly talking loud in the alley way.
• A suspicious vehicle was reported near the Best Buy Distribution Center at 5:02 a.m. Subjects in a silver vehicle were reportedly harrassing female workers.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the intersection of Tulare Avenue and O Street at 10:18 a.m.
• A gun was reported stolen in the 1200 block of East Sierra Way at 3:39 p.m.
• Vandalism to a vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Waldo Avenue at 3:39 p.m.
• A hit-and-run traffic collision was reported in the Walmart parking lot at 8:28 p.m.
• A homeless male was reportedly getting trash from a dumpster and throwing it all over in the 1100 block of North Alta Avenue. It was reported at 10:16 p.m.

• A burglary was reported in the 600 block of North Euclid Avenue at 3:52 a.m. A cell phone was reportedly stolen by a daughter's friend.
• A burglar alarm at the Dinuba High School pool area revealed two men on the surveillance camera near the pool at 6:40 a.m.
• Two loose pitbulls were reported in the area of Ventera and P streets at 8:21 a.m.
• Theft was reported near the playground at Rose Ann Vuich Park at 10:02 a.m.
• An unwanted subject was reported in the 300 block of North Whitney Avenue at 11:13 a.m. Subject was reportedly sleeping on the rooftop.
• A grass fire was reported in the area of First Street and Academy Way at 11:43 a.m.
• A female transient was reportedly staying at Felix Delgado Park with a large dog. It was reported at 11:47 a.m.
• A vehicle fire was reported in the 1500 block of West El Monte Way at 12:14 p.m.
• A wallet was reported stolen in the 600 block of Eaton Avenue at 1:11 p.m.
• A non-injury traffic collision was reported in the area of Alta and Tulare avenues at 3:19 p.m.
• A bike was reported stolen from Walmart at 10:25 p.m.
Thursday, August 2
• Domestic violence was reported in the 200 block of Gladys Avenue at 6:52 a.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported near the car wash on West Merced Street at 7:34 a.m. Subject was reportedly yelling at people and had a shopping cart.
•A burglary was reported in the 100 block of West Tulare Street at 8:33 a.m.
• Carbon monoxide poisoning was reported in the 600 block of East Marshall Avenue at 2:31 p.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the area of Tulare and L streets at 3:18 p.m. Subject was reportedly wearing
a Cowboys jersey and was yelling at passing vehicles.
• An assault was reported in the 900 block of West El Monte Way at 4:14 p.m. Reporting party stated his father was intoxicated and punched him in the face.
• A dumpster fire was reported in the area of Saginaw and Bates at 8:55 p.m.
Friday, August 3
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 300 block of South L Street at 12:10 a.m. A male subject reportedly knocking on door and then left towards Mono St.
• A complaint of loud music was reported in the 700 block of Pacific Circle at 9:33 a.m.
• Juveniles were reportedly shooting cars with BB guns in the 300 block of East Tulare Street at 11:02 a.m.
• A homeless camp was reported in a tall grass area in an open field on the west side fo the 700 block of South Alta Avenue at 2:00 p.m.
• Loud music was reported in the 700 block of North Pacific Circle at 2:09 p.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the 100 block of West El Monte Way at 4:56 p.m.
• A person called to report he had received a text message from a friend who stated he slit his wrist. It was reported at 8:58 p.m.
• Loud music was reported in the 1100 block of Ramblewood Drive at 9:33 p.m.
Saturday, August 4
• A noise complaint for loud music was made in the 200 block of East Northridge Avenue at 12:40 a.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 200 block of West Sierra Way at 1:00 a.m. Subject reporetdly knocked on door and asked for a ride.
• A cell phone was reported stolen from Dickey Park at 9:53 a.m.
• Responded to the 100 block of California Avenue for a subject who took cocaine and was not feeling well at 3:55 p.m.
Catalina Gallegos De Barba
Catalina Gallegos De Barba, a resident of Orange Cove, died July 29, 2018. She was 69.
She was a care giver.
Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 9 at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Orange Cove followed by a graveside service at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Surviving family members five sons, four daughters, parents, five brothers, six sisters and 17 grandchildren.
Sterling & Smith Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Maria Christina Gonzalez
Maria Christina Gonzalez, a resident of Orosi, died August 4, 2018. She was 67.
She was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 13 from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home in Dinuba. Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10

George Meave
George Meave, a resident of Orange Cove, died August 2, 2018. He was 86.
He was a truck driver.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 9 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. at Sterling & Smith Funeral Home in Dinuba. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 10 at 10 a.m. at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Surviving family members include his spouse, three sons, three daughters, a brother, three sisters, 19 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four
great great grandchildren. Sterling & Smith Funeral Home is handling the
arrangements.
Pablo Barba Molina
Pablo Barba Molina, a resident of Orange Cove, died July 29, 2018.
He was a farm laborer.
Funeral mass will be held Aug. 9, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Orange Cove followed by a graveside service at Smith Mountain Cemetery.
Surviving family members include five sons, two brothers, two sisters and 17 grandchildren.

Myrtle Flora Thiessen
Myrtle Flora Thiessen, a resident of Dinuba, died August 2, 2018. She was 89.
She was a registered nurse.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 at the Dinuba Mennonite
Brethren Church.
Surviving family members
include a spouse, a son and a daughter, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.
