Law enforcement agencies from throughout the state hire students directly from the Academy or shortly after graduation. Academy Director, Jack Amoroso, noted that agencies are looking for bright, energetic people with integrity. However, he noted, “they are not interested in people with long or serious criminal records or a lifestyle of drug use.
“On the other hand, a person who fits the profile and can graduate from an academy, has an excellent chance of joining the law enforcement profession.” Amoroso said.

Ruiz Cares, a program which allows employees to give back to their community in various ways, coordinated with CASA of Tulare County for their 2018 Back to School Drive.
From July 9th through July 30th team members “adopted” a school-age child to help them prepare for the 2018-2019 school year.
CASA of Tulare County provided Ruiz Foods with the names of 140 children in need of new backpacks and shoes.
Team members simply picked up a tag with the child’s name and shoe size. They had until July 30th to bring in the supplies.
CASA picked up the donations from Ruiz Foods on August 6 at 10:30 a.m.
“Too often, youth in foster care have been told, verbally or non-verbally, that they do not
matter. Their experiences tell Foods Community Relations,
them that they cannot depend on adults. CASA of Tulare County is grateful to partner with a caring company in Ruiz Foods, Inc. and their generous employees who go out of their way with this kind gesture that demonstrates to these youth that their community is concerned with their plight and that they do matter to their community,” said Alberto Ramos, Associate Director, CASA Tulare County.
“There are many times, we forget how impressionable a child can be. That our actions and words make an impact. Ruiz Foods and our Team Members wanted to ensure that these foster children have one less thing to worry about on the first day of school and to help them understand that no matter what, they matter, and they have the power to make an impact on the world,” said Ruiz
Blanca Santana.
