City staff and hired contractors have been busy lately with improvement projects in the downtown district. Last week the Dinuba City Public Works Department began a sidewalk project (top- left) on South I Street, across from the Dinuba Library. Previous trees and, until recently, existing tree stumps had made the sidewalk hazardous to pedestrians. The path is traveled often by students from Dinuba High School. A new sidewalk was to be installed on nearly half the block.
And the city has also begun working on repairing the raised decorative paver areas in downtown Dinuba. Crews have been busy cutting into adjoining asphalt near the pavers and will be replacing those areas with concrete to make for a smoother transition for drivers.
