The two returning players are Yazmine Villareal-Harris and Ashley Flores, the two other players who saw playing time last year were Laronda Ward and Roxanna Moltavo, according to Prado.
Villareal-Harris was third on the team in scoring averaging nine points and seven rebounds per game while Flores was fourth on the squad averaging 8 ppg.
“They will be the top scoring options coming into the season,” Prado said. “Our top new additions will be Azlynn Villalobos and Kailey Lopez.”
Villalobos is a forward who didn’t play last year and will be a starter.
“She is tall and athletic, has great instincts on defense,” Prado said. “Kailey comes in as a freshman that will be leading our team at the point guard position. She is fast and aggressive, her attack mentality

short TD run giving the Tribe a 44-37 lead with under 2:10 in the game.
With 1:55 remaining in the game and possession at the 20-yard line, a pass interference call by Tulare put the ball at 35-yard line. Three consecutive incompletions had the Emperors staring at 4th and 10 as coach Kevin Scharton dialed up a trick play for the ages. Magaña, handed the ball off to Josh Huerta that pulled the defense to one side of the field. Huerta then launched a pass to Magaña, who was completely unaccounted for

Dinuba will get tested early as the Emperors open the season at Sanger on Monday before participating in the Selma Shoot-Out where they open against Liberty Wednesday evening.
“With such a young team it’s hard to judge where we will be but the potential is there,” Prado said. “I expect an up and down start as we adjust to varsity level basketball, however once we adjust this team can be really good.”
Prado says the two teams to look out for in Central Sequoia League play are Kingsburg and Selma.
“They both bring a lot of players,” Prado said. “Our league is always a grind and I believe we can compete with anyone when we are playing Dinuba basketball.”
by the Tribe’s defense, catching the ball in front of the Emperors bench while racing up the sidelines before being pushed out of bounds at the 25-yard line with 1:24.
Dinuba couldn’t move the ball any further as the Emperors were facing a 4th and 14 at the 29-yard line. Magaña dropped back and attempted a pass that was knocked down ending a wild game.
Dinuba scored the game’s first TD when Julian Gutierrez ripped off a 65-yard run in the first quarter for a quick 7-0 lead.
The Tribe answered with a quick strike of their own as Dailey broke free for a 45-yard scamper to tie the game.
Tulare would take its first lead of the game when Lamb avoided a heavy pass rush and threw a pass to the end zone that was snatched by 6-feet-6 inch wide receiver Darius Baker.
The Emperors came right back to score on a short touchdown run by running back Joshua Martinez and Magaña’s 2-point conversion gave the Emperors the lead at the end of the first half.
U.S. Baseball Academy, which operates a national network ofaffordable hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunningcamps for players in grades 1 through 12, is pleased to announce the addition of Tulare Western HS to its lineup for the coming winter and spring. Registration is now under way at www.USBaseballAcademy.com.
U.S. Baseball Academy’s Spring Training program provides young players with advanced hitting, pitching, catching, fielding and baserunning training programs with instruction by the area’s top coaches at the area’s top facilities. Players who choose multiple skills qualify for discounted session prices.
U.S. Baseball Academy’s Spring Training program will be held at nearly 250 sites across the United States. The session in Tulare runs January 6 – February 10 at Tulare Western HS. Tulare Western HS Head Coach, Ken Searcy, will direct the program. Instructors will include a staff of the area’s best coaches.
With a player-coach ratio of 7 to 1, each player gets plenty of individual attention in a small- group atmosphere. In addition to unbeatable instruction by the area’s best coaches, players get a preseason tune-up that helps them enter team practice in mid- season form.
With numerous age-specific sessions, instruction is specially tailored for each ability level. Overall, it’s the type of intense, professional instruction young
Since 1988, U.S. Baseball Academy has run hundreds of camps and clinics for thousands of players nationwide. Each week, hitters rotate through a series of supervised stations, including indoor batting cages, with each drill designed to teach a different aspect of hitting. Players enjoy participating in hitting games and specialized stations used by top high school and college programs.
The program is designed to improve pitch and strike zone recognition, timing, balance, power, situational hitting, bunting, and other aspects. Pitchers work under the supervision of coaches who can help with all aspects of pitching, from fundamentals and mechanics to more advanced concepts. Drills and repetition will improve a pitcher’s speed and control.
Catcher’s camp covers all aspects of being behind the plate. Players will get instruction on stance, signs, receiving, framing, blocking, throwing, fielding bunts, tags and the mental aspects of dealing with pitchers.
Registration deadlines are approximately six weeks before each session begins, but last year’s camps sold out much earlier. Because of the low player-coach ratio, spots in each session are limited.
Complete details and times for each site, as well as registration forms are available online at www.USBaseballAcademy.com or by phoning toll free 866-622- 4487.
