Two new Reserve Police Officers have been added to the ranks of the Dinuba Police Department. Alejandro Veracruz (far right) and Juan Quezada were sworn in at the Apr. 9 Dinuba City Council meeting by Mayor Kuldip Thusu. Both officers started on Mar. 18. Looking on is Dinuba Police Chief Devon Papovich.
Harmon L. Brown
Harmon L. Brown, a resident of Chula Vista, died April 10, 2019. He was 99.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 23 at Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Surviving family members include
daughter and a granddaughter. Dopkins Funeral Chapel is
handling the arrangements.
Evelyn Hernandez
Evelyn Hernandez, a resident of Visalia, died April 8, 2019. She was 70.
She was a homemaker.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 20 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Dopkins Funeral Chapel.
Surviving family members two sons, three daughters, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
Pilar Lopez
Pilar Lopez, a resident of Dinuba, died April 14, 2019. She was 86.
She was a farm laborer.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April23from3p.m.–8p.m.at Dopkins Funeral Chapel. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine’s Church.

Monday, April 8
• A theft report was made in the 1700 block of East Olive Way at 12:49 p.m. A subject reportedly wearing a red plaid shirt, black pants and a backpack was allegedly taking items from a front yard.
• Suspicious subjects were reported in the 800 block of North Perry Avenue at 2:19 p.m. A group of juveniles were reportedly attempting to jump over a fence to a neighbor's house.
• A box of ammunition was reportedly found in the 300 block of East Tulare Street at 5:04 p.m.
• Reckless drivers were reported in the area of Sue and Greene avenues at 5:57 p.m. A white Nissan Titan, a black Chevy pickup and a red Dodge

Ione Radtke, a resident of Reedley, died April13, 2019. She was 86.
She was a homemaker.
No services at this time. Surviving family members
include three sons.
Freda M. Rheude
Freda M. Rheude, a resident of Orange Cove, died April 9, 2019. She was 68.
She was a packer.
No services at this time. Surviving family members two
daughters, a brother, four sisters and three grandchildren.
Mary “Frances” Wallace
Mary “Frances” Wallace, a resident of Dinuba, died April 12, 2019. She was 86.
She was a office manager.
Services were held on April 17 at Dopkins Dinuba Funeral Chapel.
Surviving family members include her spouse, two daughters, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Dopkins Funeral Chapel is handled the arrangements.

The Dinuba Sentinel was established on Feb. 11, 1909, then succeeding the Orosi Offer which was established on April 21, 1902, and on Jan. 15, 1917, the Dinuba Advocate. The latter, when established, absorbed The Traver Advocate, which was established Oct. 9, 1875. The Kingsburg Sentinel, which was established on Feb. 20, 1947, consolidated with the Dinuba Sentinel on Aug. 28, 1951. Reaffirmed as a legal publication under California statute and Tulare County Civil Code No. 19523 on April 2, 1928.

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Ellen “Lorraine” Carlton passed away on April 7th, 2019 at the age of 94 due to complications associated with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born Ellen Lorraine Jackson of parents William and Buena Jackson in Dinuba on September 10, 1924, she attended Dinuba High School and the College of the Sequoias. She Married Thomas Marion Carlton on May of 1944 in Corpus Christi, Texas. They were bound together for 62 years, residing in Dinuba until Thomas suddenly died of a heart attack. Lorraine is survived by her two sons; Robert William Carlton, age 69, who resides in Hanford, and Kenneth Wayne Carlton age 71, his wife Marilyn Bakkegard Carlton and their son-in- law and daughter Mason and Rebecca Joy Monson of Clovis.
Lorraine was laid to rest on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Smith Mountain Cemetery alongside her husband Thomas.
Nothing meant more to Lorraine than her family. We were all very close, and there will forever be an empty place in our hearts for our beautiful mother and grandmother.

• Two pitbulls were reportedly running around loose in the area of College Avenue and Park Way at 10:15 a.m. One was described as brown and the others as black and white.
• A theft report was made in the 300 block of East Tulare Street at 10:38 a.m. A person's back account was reportedly emptied.
• A trespasser was reported in the 1300 block of East Whittaker Way at 2:48 p.m. A subject was reportedly in the backyard as someone was attempting to show the house.
• A tree reportedly fell onto a

neighbor's yard in the 200 block of Palm Drive. It was reported at 5:12 p.m.
Wednesday, April 10
• A theft report was made at AMPM at 12:10 a.m. A male and female reportedly did a beer run and fled westbound on foot.
• A fire was reported in the 200 block of North H Street at 6:59 a.m. Smoke was seen coming from a vehicle.
• A grass fire was reported in the area of Alta and Kamm avenues at 8:38 a.m.
• A vehicle versus pedestrian collision was reported in the area of Alta Avenue and Q Street at 2:41 p.m. No injuries were reported.
• Shots fired were reported in the area of Milsap Avenue and Magnolia Way at 5:16 p.m. Six shots were reportedly heard in the area.
• A female was reportedly walking in the middle of the road with a shopping cart in the
area of Sierra Way and Crawford Avenue. It was reported at 11:13 p.m.
Thursday, April 11
• A vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Alta Avenue and North Way at 7:43 a.m.
• A suspicious subject was reported in the 1000 block of North Alta Avenue at 11:19 a.m. A subject wearing all black was reportedly trying to enter a residence through a bedroom window.
• A residential burglary was reported in the 1500 block of North Alta Avenue at 12:29 p.m.
• A subject reportedly jumped into a patio and took items in the 1300 block of South Greene Street. It was reported at 1:20 p.m.
• A male reportedly struck a female in the area of Sierra Way and Samantha Avenue at 2:45 p.m.
• A wallet was reported stolen in the 500 block of East Fresno Street at 5:13 p.m.
• A male reportedly fainted while smoking marijuana in the 800 block of Newton Drive. It was reported at 11:49 p.m.
Friday, April 12
• Domestic violence was reported in the 200 block of South P Street at 5:53 a.m.
• An assault was reported in the 100 block of South I street at 8:38 a.m. A female adult was reportedly struck by a juvenile.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 200 block of South Q Street at 12:15 p.m.
• A group of about 10 males and females were reportedly in a physical altercation in the area of Whitney Avenue and North Way. It was reported at 3:25 p.m.
• An injury traffic collision was reported in the area of East El Monte Way and Fresno Street at 4:43 p.m. The accident reportedly involved a black vehicle and a red Honda.
• Several juveniles were reportedly causing a public disturbance near a playground in the 1600 block of North Crawford Avenue at 8:09 p.m.
Saturday, April 13
• A suspicious subject was reported in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Ramblewood Drive at 2:01 a.m. A subject with a flashlight in a white van was reportedly seen in the area.
• A structure fire was reported in the 700 block of Short Avenue at 3:40 a.m.
• Domestic violence was reported in the 200 block of South J Street at 5:02 p.m.
• Two male subjects were reportedly in a physical altercation outside the main entrance to Walmart. It was reported at 5:33 p.m.
Sunday, April 14
• A noise complaint for subjects drinking and being loud outside was reported in the 1000 block of Golden Way at 11:19 a.m.
• A fire was reported in the 1200 block of East Davis Drive at 2:03 p.m. The fire was reported as an oil fire near a barbecue pit in a backyard.
• Vandalism to a vehicle was reported in the 1900 block of South Greene Street at 2:57 p.m.

Mary “Frances” Wallace of Dinuba, CA was born in Weinert, TX on March 29th, 1933. She joined her beloved parents and brothers in heaven on April 12, 2019 at the age of 86. She was
born to Vernon Biard and Anna Lee Biard.
She was a very sweet, caring, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and loved by all. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren and her love of God. She lived her life by her faith. She will lovingly be remembered by her husband, JD Wallace, her son Gary Langford, daughters, Mona Bruce and Jonlyn (Lynn) Langford. Also, by her 2 children by marriage, Jimmy Wallace and Brenda Davis. She had 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. She retired as an o ce manager at Cutler Public Utilities a er 16 years of service and was an active member at
her church.
Services were held at Dopkins Funeral Chapel on April 17, 2019.
