The opening of the Blossom Trail cer- emony on Feb. 2 was hosted by the Sanger District Chamber of Commerce at the Sanger Woman's clubhouse.
There was lots of Sanger schools involve- ment: Sanger High School NJROTC; Quail Lake Environmental Charter School; and Hallmark Charter School. There were lots of Sanger, Fresno County and Blossom Trail partner dignitaries, and all had something to say.
June Livingston, 2018 Fresno County Blossom Trail Poster artist was selling and signing posters.
A full house audience alternated between applauding performers and speakers and enjoying huge cinnamon rolls and churros.

Weather for Apache Country
Not much to say about our weather except that it's going to feel like spring for at least the next couple of weeks.
The warm weather should have the trees loaded with blossoms in time for the annual Blossom Bus tours
to area distilleries on Feb.
24 and 25 and the Blossom Festival in downtown Sanger on March 3.

The pet of the week is a male Catahoula mix. He's about 8-12 months old. He walks really well on a leash right next to you, loves to cuddleandenjoyskids. He walks well with others dogs on a leash. He has one blue eye and one brown eye.
Jojo is still at the shelter waiting for adoption. So is, Ellen, Buster, Misty and Pumpkin, a new little 1-year- old blonde chihuahua girl.
"We've also recently picked up several strays and the shelter is pretty full, said Kim.
Call Sanger animal control officer Mario Irazoqui at (559) 618-9071 to make an appointmenttomeetEllen, Buster, Misty, JoJo or any of the other dogs hoping for a forever home.
Adoption requires spay- ing/neutering and bringing the rabies shot up to date. The only charge is to the veterinarian, Gregory Saiki DVM.
