Senior Trip to Duarte Poinsettia Farm & Hilmar Cheese Factory -Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 28 for a trip to Duarte Poinsettia Farm and see the variety of poinsettia plants and other unique items with an option to purchase. Then off to the Hilmar Cheese Factory for a wonderful lunch and tour of the facility. Cost $42. (In- cludes catered lunch) Come to the Senior Center Mon- day—Friday 9-10:30 a.m. to sign waiver form and pay. Be at senior center day of trip at 7 a.m. Return around 4:30 p.m.
Health Corner with Dr. Guzman - Join Dr. Guz- man on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 11:00 am in the Senior Room. Call to make your lunch reservation. Lunch is served at 11 am.
Chukchansi Casino
The next trip to Chuk- chansi Casino will be on Friday, Dec. 14. Cost is $17 which includes $10 e-cash and $5 towards lunch with photo ID. Early registra- tion for Reedley seniors now open. (Reedley Residents get first chance to sign up. Open enrollment is for all seniors). Open Enrollment starts October 22. Come to the Phil Hudson Senior Room weekdays from 9 a.m. -12 p.m. to pay and sign-up. Pay by check or Money Or- der to The City of Reedley.

Oct. 20. Karen Weibe plans to ride her bike 65 miles to raise money for the Community Youth Min- istries' RiverKids program. Wiebe began riding to sup- port CYM when she turned 50. Each year she has been adding one mile, this year she will ride 65 miles in
honor of her 65th birthday. Karen said she enjoys riding her bike and teaching young children that Jesus Christ loves them.
This ride is a way to support both of the things she loves to do. Karen and CYM are thankful for the many people who continue to support the fundraiser each year. The event raises about $6,000 each year.

Oct. 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Palm United Methodist Church of Dinuba will hold its annual Oriental Take- Out Dinner. The church is located at 438 West Tulare Street, on the corner of "P" Street, in Dinuba. Menu will include grilled teriyaki
chicken, cabbage and ramen salad, chow mein, steamed rice, and cookies. Tickets cost $12 and can be pur- chased from church mem- bers or at the door. Boutique items will also be available for purchase. Proceeds will go to support various mis- sion projects.

Michelle Priest, a Squaw Valley resident said she and her friends came to support her son who was helping out for the evening.
"My son is part of the
ROP course," she said.
"So he's working here tonight; he was Smoky the
Bear for a little while." Priest and her family were able to meet with a variety of fire personnel. "We came down to check it out and this is really neat," she said. "I really was sur- prised seeing all the en- gines and firefighters from
other towns also here."
