   RHS Wisley Taste of Autumn
The South East Region were invited to join the many other interested bodies demonstrating, advertising, advising or selling their wares at this year’s Taste of Autumn ve-day Show, which took place at RHS Wisley from 18 – 22 October. The weather was very temperamental throughout, but the public came undeterred.
Many thanks to Liz Bunting who assisted us on Thursday. I would like to thank her for the support she gave us and the way which she was able to speak to anyone who visited the stand; a change from the end of the phone.
We are still being asked about who the NSALG are - ‘we didn’t know you existed’. On another occasion a couple said that they were a small site with eight plot holders asking the parish council when they can pay their rent and water, to no avail - yes I’m envious too!
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who assisted on the stand, without whom the Region would not be able to make their voice heard.

 Your region needs you!
The South East region are looking for volunteers from throughout Surrey, Sussex and Kent to form a committee to help the Regional Representative represent the NAS on behalf of allotment holders, local authorities and member associations.
There will be opportunities to promote the allotment movement at garden shows and the chance to share your skills and experiences with other like-minded people. From growing prize veg, to social media and fundraising, please come along and contribute!
Anyone interested please contact nedlud@hotmail.co.uk or 07789 296214.
