MUSEUM
This year the DCLI and LI museum has
a new name, ‘Bodmin Keep,’ which celebrates its historic barracks home. Following the enforced closure in March, the museum team stepped up their digital work from home and became an ‘online museum,’ producing podcasts, download- able resources for home schooling, online exhibitions, a 3D virtual museum visit and fun family activities. All these resources can still be found on the museum’s website www.bodminkeep.org which is well worth a look.
The museum has now reopened to the public and has three new exhibitions which are also available online: Cornwall’s Citizen Army, which tells the story of the Territorial Army in Cornwall; Frontiers of Fashion which explores how military uniform has influenced popular fashion, and Souvenirs and Spoils which highlights items in the museum which have been collected from theatres of war through the ages. The team are also working on two other exciting
