                                    VOLUNTEER
Celebrating our volunteers The hands that make a difference are the hands that volunteer.
One of the greatest gifts you can give is your time. Join an amazing team and volunteer with Age UK Northamptonshire. You’re guaranteed to have fun, make new friends and make a huge difference to so many local older people.
Age UK Northamptonshire has been providing essential support for over
70 years to older people throughout Northamptonshire and we offer many services. A lot of this is attributed to the support we receive from our existing and new volunteers.
More volunteers means we can support more older people.
Bringing our volunteers
and students together
We celebrate our volunteers and students twice a year to thank them for their fantastic support and continued commitment. This festive season was
no exception! They were treated to a delicious buffet and a free raffle at The William and Patricia Venton Centre. Sheila and her husband Stuart gave a wonderful performance of jazz standards, Sheila
is also one of our volunteer telephone
befrienders. Thank you all for coming, it was an event to remember, and we look forward to seeing you again in the summer.
Why volunteer?
Most of our volunteers want to make a difference to the lives of older people affected by loneliness and feelings of isolation or ill health.
Some volunteers want to develop new skills and undergo new experiences that
