Kate Curtis opened Berry’s Cafe & Bistro doors for the first time on Saturday 7th January this year. For a long time, it had been Kate’s dream to run her own business. Berry’s is named after her New Forest pony,
And the most challenging... At the moment it is of course trying to make ends meet – no pressure!
Any plans to expand further? My plans for
     who Kate’s had now for 17 years.
What made you choose Thrapston?
I chose Thrapston because it’s such
a beautiful town. I love the bridge
over the river as you enter the town.
Eventually I would like to move here
with my son and my collection of furry friends.
Describe your business in five words...
Friendly, boujee, calm, good vibes and, of course, great food!
What is the best thing about your job?
Seeing people eating in the cafe and enjoying our creations.
I just want my cafe to be a success
this year include getting my alcohol licence and planning some exciting evening events.
Favourite products for sale? The sweet treats, pizzas and flavoured sausage rolls!
How many people work with you?
I have an amazing little team of four – Georgie, Franny, Sav and my gorgeous son Ollie.
Any funny moments? We can’t find anything in our huge kitchen! Lol.
What makes Berry’s different? Berry’s is proud to say that everything is made in house (except for bread) and we will be expanding our
