ARMY INTER CORPS CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP 2013

By WO2 (QMSI) C Paton RAPTC

T
he 21st Inter Corps Cross Country
Championships took place on
Wednesday 6 March 2013; hosted
by the Royal Signals. The location for

this year’s event was at the scenic but
somewhat hilly surroundings of Bulford,
Salisbury. The 200 male and female
athletes, made up from 8 different Corps

lined up at the start ready to endure a
course that would frighten a mountain
goat. The starting two laps of the playing
ields was a breeze, compared to the

next 1.5km of hilly terrain that took the
athletes up on top of the Bulford ridgeline.
However, the weather was more
favourable as athletes battled against
their counterparts in almost ideal running

conditions.
