Building a future
From Monday September 12th 2022, the builders will be moving onto the library
car park to start the work for the extension meeting room, therefore there will be no car parking spaces available to our customers until the work has been completed around 16th December 2022.
The Friends of Thrapston Library and the volunteers apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause during this time, however there will be 4 repositioned car parking spaces for the customers when the work has been completed.
Unfortunately, from the beginning of November until December 16th, the library will not have any toilet facilities, while work is undertaken to install a customer toilet.
We are sure that the improvements will be well worth the inconvenience when completed and we hope that our customers will continue to

   PLAZA OPERA
START REHEARSALS
Rehearsals have just begun for ‘Manon’
- the entertaining story of a young girl’s changing fortunes falling in love in Paris - which will be performed in February 2023, fully staged and sung in English with orchestral accompaniment.
But it’s not too late to come and join
in so this is an invitation to local singers to come and join us. Even if you’ve never sung in a group before and perhaps feel ‘inexperienced’, you will be most welcome to join the chorus for which no audition is required.
You will have the thrill of performing alongside our trained principals, who take the solo dramatic rôles, and of becoming part of our friendly Company with members from Thrapston and local towns and villages.
Weekly rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings from 7.30-9.30pm in St James Church Hall with monthly Sunday afternoon rehearsals from mid November in the Plaza.
