Wales National Allotments Week Photo Competition
What is a summer without sunshine and a few photos of your allotment? This year was a slow starter, but
once the sun came out in Wales, the allotmenteers got snapping. From Kidwelly to Beaumaris, from Cardiff to Aberystwyth, there was a wonderful array of photos of allotments from all around Wales.
Thank you so much to those who entered the competition. It has been
a wonderful treat to see so much enthusiasm and the love allotmenteers have for their allotments, and certainly has shone through in the shots of
their plots. Thank you to Terry Walton for being the judge for the ‘winners’
in the 6 categories and the NAS committee panel for the ‘runners-up’ and ‘promising’ entries. It was a tough decision, but it came down to a good composition and the photo that is the most engaging to the viewer.
If you’re making a visit to the Royal Welsh Show next year... look out for the photographs from the All of Wales NAS Photo Competition. With permission granted, some of these photos will be displayed on the NAS exhibition boards at the Royal Welsh Show. The videos
