JOINT SERVICES ADVENTUROUS TRAINING WING (CYPRUS) (JSATW(C))
It’s wonderful working at JSATW(C), in an organisation that is growing from strength to strength in an uncertain climate. The purchase of a new aircraft
and hangar for use at the Para Branch at Kingsfield Aerodrome, JSATW (C) is becoming a reality and this
will bring about a sea change in parachuting delivery
in Cyprus. The ability to deliver AFF courses on island
will probably result in expeds who would otherwise
deploy to the US being strongly encouraged to
use Cyprus in the first instance. This is likely to
commence from early summer 2017. The ability of
the Army to meet the demand for MTB cses has not
improved markedly but training is being delivered at
Llanrwst and elsewhere. JSATW(C) have presented
a business case to offer a platform to run MTB Cse
out of Cyprus, this is being supported and with any
luck delivery of courses will commence early 2019. As members of the RAPTC and in your various roles you should all have an interface with AT in either a policy or delivery role or maybe have an interface with others partaking in AT activity. Please encourage
Sgt’s Crutchley and Littlewood keeping hunger at bay on Staff Trg
them to use JSATW(C) or any other Wings within the Services. See comments and pictures below from my MAB Instructors Sgt (SI) Crutchley and Littlewood:

With its blue skies, sandy beaches and warm crystal sea JSATW (Cyprus) is the perfect environment to develop your Adventurous Training (AT). As a Wing, we run over 140 courses a year, delivering many qualifications from foundation to leader in activities including rock climbing, paddle sports, mountaineering, sailing, Sub-Aqua and parachuting. We also assist with over 30 expeditions in sea kayaking and sailing.
Are you interested in becoming an AT Instructor? Here in Cyprus we have opportunities for 6 month placements as TEE staff. You will aid in the administration for the AT Wing with 140 courses plus expeditions and have plenty of opportunity to peruse qualifications in all disciplines available here in Cyprus. If interested liaise with your CoC and contact WSM JSATW(C) WO2 (QMSI) Sóderfjord.
