38 (Irish) Brigade had some significant changes over the last 12 months regarding the loss of 1 SCOTS and 7 RIFLES but did welcome 8 RIFLES in this shake up. With regards
to manpower and troops on the ground our numbers maintained the same. The impact on sport attendance varied throughout the year; Operation and Exercise dependant and we welcome back 2 RIFLES back from Op SHADER.
HQ RAPTC delivered the Army Physical Training System to RAPTCI’s and AAPTI’s in Province; all Units are now adhering to this programme and with the support of the Reconditioning and Weight Management Programme have increased deployability in NI quite significantly. The middle evening of the Study Period saw the All Ranks Dinner as a chance for individuals to discuss what they have learned in the classroom and the shop floor to great extent.
