down a rock slide into a pool which surprisingly seemed colder than the rest of the gorge!
When we went raft building we learned to tie a knot to secure a barrel
onto the bottom of our raft so
it floated. Once we had built
our raft we launched it into a
sea water lake, where we had
to paddle to an island. While
we were just floating on the lake
we played a game where we had
to put a certain number of body parts in the water. While we were playing this game I fell in! Not everyone on the raft wanted to go out
a second time but me and some others did. On the way back one of the other guides and one of
the leaders got in and pushed the raft. This was really fun and by the time we got back we were quite wet and muddy because the lake was very
shallow.
As well as this we did other
activities such as wallaby watching, abseiling team building, sea
kayaking, axe throwing, archery, an assault course, and high ropes.
These were all exciting activities that helped you push
your limits and work as a team. Thanks again to everyone in the community
who helped me to enjoy this valuable experience.
