                                 Three Peaks Challenge Stephen Molumphy
ON SAT 3RD JULY four students from ACSC 24 - Cdr Aditya Sheoran (Indian Navy), Major Andrea Rossi (Italian Army), Major Guillaume Leuenberger (French Army), and Major Stephen Molumphy (Irish Army) - climbed the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. This involved climbing in dry sunny conditions on Ben Nevis, surviving thunderstorms and lightning on Scafell Peak and enjoying continuous rainfall for the entirety of Snowdon’s climb.
Overall it was a combined trek of 37km with total ascent of 10,052ft and driving 744km throughout Britain. Prior to this event, many evenings were spent by the four students trekking in the ‘Vale of the White Horse’ building up stamina for the task ahead. In
the end, the mission was achieved and over £1500 (still rising) was raised for a very worthy charitable organisation, World Child Cancer. This organisation improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children. Many thanks to everyone who supported this worthy cause.
