   thinking and problem-solving that has genuine utility and applicability for defence. That we did this in a year of such tumult shows the adaptability, strength and diversity of our Masters pathway offerings.
To be sure, as students you have all faced challenges in navigating these pathways, and we have work to do to continue to bed in the new MSc and improve the learning experience for students. But I hope
that in leaving ACSC 24 and moving onward, that everyone will look back and relish the opportunity to engage in Masters’ education while on ACSC, and that it gives you lasting benefits, opportunities and
connections that will endure long after the course ends. Congratulations to all of you for demonstrating such commitment, dedication, persistence and determination, and thank you for the honest, constructive feedback that will help us test, adjust and adapt for your successors.

In that sense, we have truly transformed: to a course that offers multiple educational pathways and different modes and methods of learning, and greater flexibility than ever before. I’ve no doubt that ACSC in the future will look different again, but then PME is a continual journey of evolution and transformation, and this year has proved no different. We have all played our part and I think everyone – staff and students alike – can look back with justifiable pride and satisfaction. It has been a pleasure to be the Academic Director amidst all this change, and I wish you all every success as you travel onwards.
I end with a personal reflection. I have been the ACSC Programme Director for 3 years, and ACSC 24 marks my final year in this role. The ACSC that emerges from this year is very different to the one took over on ACSC 22. In that time, we have gone from one Masters’ programme to three, and lived
