 Welcome to
Kettering Festival of Literature 2023
Kettering Civic Society is delighted to welcome you to the first Kettering Festival of Literature.
The Society and a team of volunteers have been working hard to bring
you what we hope you will agree is
a varied and exciting programme of events, whether you’re a youngster keen to meet and hear from authors
of children’s books, or a mature reader with an interest in poetry and classic stories. Whether you like a good murder or a gentle family drama, there will be something to keep you entertained.
Many of the authors have their books for sale, and other friends and supporters who are joining us in the Cornmarket
Hall also have books and other goodies to tempt you – not forgetting tasty refreshments provided by The Good Loaf.
All events are free, but attendance is first come first served; seats are not numbered. Please take your seats in good time.
If you can’t get into your first choice event, there are lots of others to choose from. There is plenty of room in the Parish Church and Fuller Church – or pop along to the Cornmarket Hall to browse the stalls, buy some books and have a cuppa.
Children are welcome at all the events – indeed, many of the presentations and activities are specially for them. However, all children must be accompanied at all times.
Please turn off your phones during the presentations.
No photography is permitted during the events, but you are welcome to take pictures afterwards. Please share them on social media and tag us in.
We have allowed plenty of time for changeover between sessions, but please move on to your next event as soon as you can.
Festival volunteers will be on hand
at each venue, should you have any questions about what’s on and where. We thank them for giving up their time and energy for the festival, and should also like to thank our competition judges and our sponsors.
Have a lovely day!
