Official re-opening
The library has been undergoing a refurbishment programme since October
last year, thanks to monies donated from the recent developments in and around the town. A new meeting room has been added, along with a customer toilet, and the library now has LED lighting and a new carpet. New facias and signage have been added to the outside frontage, and the Friends Group have paid for a new outside notice board.
The meeting room is now available to hire. For further information and to view it please call into the library during opening hours. There will be an official re-opening celebration on Saturday 15th April, with the cutting of

the ribbon taking place at 11.00am to which everyone is welcome. Coffee and cakes will be served.
From Tuesday 7th March the library will
be adding extra opening hours of 4.00pm to 7.00pm on every Tuesday evening, until further notice. It is hoped that this will encourage more school children and students to visit the library for homework reasons or for other activities.
