The Sports Association has been at Thrapston for many years. It’s the home of Thrapston Town FC, Thrapston Venturas, and the newly formed Thrapston Venturas Res.
Can anyone come along to have a go? We also have a sen. Ladies team ‘Thrapston Ladies’, and a ‘Juniors football Club’ which cater for all children under the age of 18, currently 200+ children, all managed by 60+ volunteers.
What age do you have to be to join the club? Ages range from five, all levels of ability. Membership of the club is from £10pa and varies, depending on age.
Do you play competitions against other clubs?
We take part in the Northants Combination League, Weetabix League and Ladies League.
Thrapston Venturas FC are to enter a reserve team to compete in the Northamptonshire
Combination League 2022/23 season. We would like to invite youth players to join us in this very exciting new venture, so get in touch.
What facilities are available on site? We have grass football pitches, cricket in the summer months, ladies rounders pitch, and a Muga 5-a-side, basketball court and outside gym equipment.
What does the clubhouse have to offer? The clubhouse is fully licensed, we also cater for private bookings, as well as TV sports evenings, bingo, etc. The club is open to the public on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Best things about the club? The ‘Sports’
is a community establishment and is very welcoming to all who come to compete, or just as spectators in many of the sports events held there, throughout the year.
