  Lost Trawlermen’s Service
This is an annual event in the TS Iron Duke’s calendar. The 34th Annual Service commemorated the day of 5 February 1968 when the Ross Cleveland was lost. The Church was full and our cadets took part, together with the City of Hull Brass Band and Eastfield Primary School. LC Josh Smith, The First Sea Lord’s Cadet Eastern Area, lowered and raised the Standard and Cadet 1st Ben Tuttle piped the signal for the lowering and raising of the Standard. Other cadets carried wreaths for dedication during the service.
 59th ANNUAL

This service was held in the presence of the Lord- Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, Mr Jim Dick OBE. Cadets from TS Iron Duke and the Hull Trinity Academy attended.
  FIRST SEA
LORD’S CADET
(representing the
Eastern Area) –
LC Joshua Smith
This was the first “public outing” with his new First Sea Lord’s Cadet badge, when Josh attended the East Riding of Yorkshire County Legal Service event at Beverley Minster.
 VISIT BY CAPTAIN SEA CADETS
We were delighted to receive a visit from Captain Sea Cadets, Captain Neil Downing RN, in May. The First Sea Lord’s Cadet (Eastern Area), POC Josh Smith greeted him and introduced the Captain around the Unit. It was an informal visit and he spent most of his time chatting to cadets and staff before meeting up with parents in the Wardroom.
