MARGO FLYNN

Margo grew up in a racing family in fact
her parents, grandparent and great-
grandparents participated in the sport
in her native Australia. Flynn however
drifted over to the management side
of the business after she completed
college at SUNY Oswego. “Realizing the
advantage of a horse background gave
me a unique prospective that I think has
served my employers well,” Flynn said.

In her current position as Vice President of
Marketing at Tampa Bay Downs she has
implemented many nationally recognized
programs to bring the customers closer to
the sport attributed to her over 30 years
while working in the industry.

She is currently serving on several
Boards of Directors both in the
community and in the Racing Arena –
Board Chair - Upper Tampa Chamber of
Commerce, Advisory Board - The Jockey
Club – Ownerview, Advisory Board - The
Breeders’ Cup, LTD, and Board Member
– TROT (Retired Race Horses of Tampa).

“Being involved with Goodwood Racing keeps my finger on the
pulse of the industry – I can understand real time issues from both
sides, allowing me to navigate the path of horse’s ownership with

authority,” said Flynn. “I love the game –nothing beats a trip to the
winners’ circle – a feeling that is infectious!”
