Hi Glenda and thanks for email re no. 3. What a lot of work you are putting into this! How do we ever thank you? Re your mention of formal publication I certainly have been totally naive re copyright et c, so yes agree informal is best. Just wish I could be of help in some way.

I have very much enjoyed reading Version 2. Thank you so much for all the hard work you have put into the Book. I feel that a booklet version would be great, although I imagine that it would entail a lot of work from you.
A friend of ours sent this quotation with reference to the Lockdown,
..............We hope that, in a few months, we can look back and write, as Charles Dickens did a 160 years ago:
“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair..."
Thankyou for all your very hard work!!

Here’s a link (below) that might help about where to send our book when it’s ready! It’s called HALS in popular parlance, short for Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies. (They’re busy digitising everything in their archives, so would probably appreciate the PDF rather than the hard copy.)
I deposited all my dad’s 40 cuttings books from his 40 year contributions to the Barnet Press there and frequently deposit local records there too. In fact I have meetings there with the Hertfordshire Association for Local History every couple of months, though our last meeting was in February, and know the archivists quite well.
Was in the middle of sending you another email when I thought of this. Will now go back to that one. Hope you’re not feeling too bombarded!
LIFE UNDER LOCKDOWN
This is a space for you to add stories and photos about life in Hertfordshire during lockdown. It's also a place to share creative responses to the situation and share your thoughts on how we can best look after ourselves during this time.
Alongside this, Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies (HALS) are creating a permanent archive recording the effect of the pandemic on people, communities and businesses. Donations of photos, videos, written accounts, artwork and poems, as well as printed materials are welcome. If you submit material to this website, please also consider offering it to the Archive. Email hals.enquiries@hertfordshire.gov.uk for more information. The catalogue (ref: HALS/COV) will gradually take shape on HALS' website during lockdown, while the original materials will be available to view once HALS re-opens.
