The following amendments would implement Recommendation #5 to reduce delegate numbers:
ARTICLE VI
Section 2. Election of Delegates. Each local unit provided in article V hereof, not including Collegiate Farm Bureaus, shall be entitled to at least two (2) voting delegates. In addition thereto, each such local unit shall be entitled to an additional voting delegate for each one hundred (100) members or major portion thereof, in excess of the first two hundred (200) members. The total number of delegates shall not exceed 300 statewide. If there are more than 300 delegates based on the initial delegate calculation, each local unit which would be entitled to more than two delegates will receive a pro rata share of additional delegates available under the cap of 300, in an amount that equates to that local unit’s pro rata share of the association’s total number of members. The total number of associate members will be deducted from the total membership in each local unit in determining the number of delegates to which the unit is entitled. The right to additional voting delegates shall be based upon the number of paid-up memberships in good standing of each such local unit, as shown by the membership records kept in the office of this association as of the close of the fiscal year of the association next preceding the membership meeting.
