In English, some adjectives that describe appearance are more commonly used only for
men or women. Some adjectives are used for either.
beautiful, pretty, stunning (for women)
handsome (for men)
attractive, striking, good looking (women or men)
3 WRITE a blog entry describing a time when you helped someone prepare for a special
event. Write two or three paragraphs. How did you make this person look different? Use your
diagram from exercise 2B and the blog in exercise 1A to help you.
