                      A_  Use  the  words  to  write  questions  with  conditional  clauses.  Add  commas  where  necessary.
                         Sometimes  there  is  more  than  one  correct  way  to  write  the  question.

                             Would  you  talk  to  a  stranger  if  he  or  she  stopped  you  on  the  street?

                      B  Work  in  a  group.  Ask  and  answer  the  questions  from  exercise  A.

                         A:  Would  you  talk  to  a  stranger  if  he  or  she  stopped  you  on  the  street?

                         B:  Probably.  But  if  the  person  seemed  unfriendly,  I  don’t  think  I  would.  I'd  be  afraid.

                      A  Work  in  groups.  Discuss  the  answers  to  these  situations.

                         1.  Sometimes  people  buy  wild  animals  to  keep  as  pets.  What  would  you  do  if  one  of  your  friends
                            wanted  to  buy  a  baby  tiger  to  keep  as  a  pet?

                         2.  Many  people  try  to  smuggle!  exotic  animals  into  or  out  of  countries  through  airports.  One  man
                            had  a  python?  tied  to  him.  Others  have  had  snakes  and  spiders  in  their  luggage  and  socks.  One
                            man  even  had  a  crocodile  in  his  bag!  What  would  you  do  if  you  saw  this  kind  of  activity?

                            ‘smuggle:  to  bring  things  into  or  out  of  another  country  or  area  illegally
                            2  python:  a  large  snake  that  wraps  itself  around  its  victims

                      B   Choose  one  of  the  situations  from  exercise  A  and  role-play  it  for  the  class.
