Instructions for Oral Presentation

Onsite at the Congress
 Speakers will need to register at the registration desk when they first arrive at the
congress to collect their name badge and other related materials.
 You will be directed to the “Speaker Preview Room” where you must upload your
slides at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled presentation. Please note that it is not
possible to load the presentations in the meeting rooms, they must be brought to the
Speaker Preview Room to be loaded centrally.
 Please ensure you refer the latest congress program to confirm your presentation
time.

Presentation Time Frame
 Each oral presentation will run for 10 minutes (8 min presentation and 2 min Q&A).
 Invited lecture is given 15 minutes (12 min presentation and 3 min Q&A). If you have
a longer presentation time you will be contacted individually. Please check the latest
congress program to confirm your session time.
 Please ensure your presentation does not exceed the allocated time frame. The
Session Chairs will time your presentation and give you signals 2 minutes before your
time expires.
 It is extremely important that you run to time. Running overtime is disrespectful to
other speakers and highly disruptive to delegates.

Your Oral Presentation
 Please arrive at your session room at least 20 minutes before the session begins.
Session chairs will need time to meet you and explain how the session will be run and
to show you where to sit.
 Please note that the official congress language is English. All presentations must be
made in English.
 3 Best Oral Presentation Awards will be given for each proffered papers category.

PowerPoint Slides
 Presentations should be supplied via a USB memory device. Our presentation system
uses Microsoft Office on a Windows Operating System. The PowerPoint will be
projected on a 16:9 screen. You are encouraged to prepare your slides on this
dimension to optimise the projection areas.
 A PowerPoint template can be downloaded on the website
(http://www.aocmp2018.com/oral-presentation-guidelines). You may use this
template to prepare your PowerPoint slides however it is not compulsory.
 For speaker who uses a Mac computer, we request you to convert your slides to
Windows-equivalent. If this is not possible, then you will be required to supply your
own laptop and VGA connection dongle.
