        The new P4G phase - REVIEW=PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL - starts on November 14th. It’s time to
        reflect on what you did this year and how you did it. Your self-assessment is a chance for you to
        highlight your most important accomplishments from the past year.  To reflect on what you
        accomplished, how you accomplished it, and what you learned.  Make use of a new great

        Q: Are we using the Fortive9 in 2018 performance reviews?
        A: Yes, F9 competencies will be incorporated into our end of year performance review process. Performance Objectives
        will account for 50% of your overall rating score and the Fortive9 will account for the other 50%.

        Q: Will the Performance Appraisal rating scale change too?
        A: No, the rating scale will remain the same (1-5) with the same rating descriptors.  In place of the old Leadership
        Anchors section, ratings for each of the Fortive9 behaviors have been added. And rather than comments on
        each one, we now have two comment boxes to share details about Fortive9 strengths and areas for opportunity.

        Q: It looks like we’re moving from 5 Leadership Anchors, to 9 competencies. Will this mean more work
        when  it  comes  to  D4G  and  P4G?  I  only  needed  to  think  about  5  competencies  and  corresponding
        behaviors. Now I need to think about 9. Why did we increase the number?
        A: We’ve simplified the model. In reality, the 5 Leadership Anchors included 28 individual competencies underneath
        them. We’ve moved to the Fortive9 – a set of 9 easy to remember and actionable competencies that are clearer and much
        easier to use. We’re working to ensure this simplifies, and doesn’t increase, the workload required for the D4G and P4G
        processes.
        Understanding the Four Talent Levels
        Q: Given the Fortive9 is our “leadership” model, how will it impact me as an individual contributor
        without direct reports?
        A: Fortive believes that leadership is a behavior not a position or role. The Fortive9 identifies how we do what we do at
        all talent levels within Fortive:
        •      • Individual Contributors
        •      • Leaders of People or Senior Level Individual Contributor
        •      • Leaders of Leaders
        •      • Leaders of Operating Company or Corporate Functions
