Fluke Leadership Conference 2018

Every year Fluke gets all its senior leaders from around the world together to share the best practices, develop new ideas
and celebrate successes. Fluke Leadership conference 2018 took place in Everett on the week of October 8th and was an
incredible event that gave every attendee a great chance to meet both the well-known and new colleagues.
Alan Spoon, Jim Lico and Chuck McLaughlin made an incredible opening and charged up the conference by personally
greeting us to Everett and addressing some key topics and current status and future aspirations for Fortive.
A well organized and structured agenda comprised of both formal and informal leadership-related topics. We’ve received
an update on strategic directions from our key platforms – Industrial, Fluke Digital Systems, Fluke Calibration and Fluke
Health Solutions. It was great to see the developments being made in these areas and to see that they are being shared
across the company in a simple understandable way. I will touch more on that during the upcoming All Employee Meeting.
Another significant emphasis was on leadership and its key attributes – what does it mean and how can we educate
ourselves in being better leaders. There was a brief update on Fortive9 “directly from the kitchen” by the senior HR
Executives from Fortive Corporation, but after that there were some other in-depth sessions on developing the behaviors
and self-awareness.
And ofcourse we had a lot of fun with the apogee being the “Mysterious murder” game where in teams we tried to find
out the fictitious victim of a fabricated murder.
I was fortunate to attend the previous conference as well and can conclude that there has been a significant enhancement
done to make this conference relevant and interesting to broad cohort of leaders in Fluke across the world.

Growth & Innovation Conference.
This fall, innovators from across Fortive met for the third annual Fortive Growth & Innovation
Conference to join together to celebrate innovation at Fortive and learn best practices to
accelerate progress in our operating company. Jim Lico presented 2018 Fortive Innovation
Awards. Nominations were submitted from all 26 of our operating companies.
