GRACE, Exploring Its Riches

“Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying:
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained
you a prophet to the nations.”

There was a divine destiny upon Jeremiah’s life,
determined before he was born, that he was to fulfil in his
lifetime. He was not just born to fulfil his parents’ wish or
live a godly life daily. Grace and divine commissioning
were upon him to fulfil a divine objective: he was sanctified
and ordained by God to be His prophet to His chosen
people, Israel.

JESUS our Lord and Saviour came into the world
according to a divine plan. His birth had been predicted for
thousands of years, and when the time of His conception
came, an angel of God gave details of His life assignment:

“Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows:
After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
before they came together, she was found with
child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her
husband, being a just man, and not wanting to
make her a public example, was minded to put her
away secretly. But while he thought about these
things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to
him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do
not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for
that which is conceived in her is of the Holy
