AMPCs are obtained by converting the white blood cells
of the blood back into a stem cell state. In order to achieve
this, the first step is to collect blood intravenously, much like
a blood donation. Up to 400mL of blood may be collected for
the purpose of AMPC culture, though a minimum of 250mL
will suffice if a patient is less physically fit.
The amount of blood to be drawn therefore varies among
individuals, but typically more blood yields higher stem cell
counts. Higher stem cell counts equate to more cells being
Blood available for regeneration and repair processes after they are
collection reinfused into the body. However, if intra-articular infusions
are sought, a fixed amount of 250mL of blood will be collected.

The blood from the step above is collected into a
sterile blood bag that will be sealed to prevent external
contamination. After collection, the blood is transported into
the laboratory, where the technicians will separate the blood
components. White blood cells, red blood cells, and plasma
Blood will be separated through centrifugation.

The isolated white blood cells will then be cultured
Understanding and incubated in a specialized environment for 4 days to

undergo AMPC conversion. Unlike conventional stem cell
culture processes, AMPC culture does not involve genetic
the Stem Cell Incubation and manipulation procedures. The specialized environment alone
stresses the cells to undergo stem cell conversion over the
                                               course of 4 days.

 Procedure

After white blood cell separation but prior to AMPC
culture, a sample of the blood will be sent to an external
laboratory accredited by the National Association of Testing
Authorities to be screened for contamination. These include
the total viable aerobic count, total viable count, and microbial
growth, endotoxin, and mycoplasma tests. The results of these
External blood tests must reflect that the samples are free from contamination
before they may be released for treatment.
