Teachers are requested to prepare for their classes in advance. Preparation such as printing etc. should not be done during class time, teachers are humbly requested to arrive early enough to do their preparation.J
ISLAMIC STUDIES
The books we are using have approximately 26-29 chapters.
Total 52 weeks less 6 weeks of holidays/ breaks.
Total 46 weeks of classes.
1 lesson to be taught each week, which will allow us to finish the Islamic studies books by June or July.
Remaining 17-19 weeks will be used for the following:
11 thematic classes such as:
1. Eid Al Fitr
2. Eid Al Adha
3. Isra wa Al-Ma’raaj
4. Ramadaan & fasting
5. Days Dhul Hijjah & Arafah
6. Hajj
7. Day of Ashura
8. Valentine’s day
9. Easter & Good Friday (Islamic belief of Isa A.S. being raised to the heavens)
10. Halloween
11. Christmas (Islamic belief of Birth of Isa A.S.)
*** Thematic classes should be done with games & fun activities. Please include arts & crafts***
Remaining 6-8 weeks will be for review, exam and final preparation for year-end presentation. Teachers must prepare their students for year-end presentation throughout the whole year. This way students will be well prepared, confident and will look forward to attending.
