Shadow hands were a powerful knot and there was a strong desire to remove them. Teacher~researchers
experimented with broomsticks, twigs and string to suspend things and with transparent boxes as supports. The
transparent boxes turned out to be not as transparent as expected and created their own surprising shadows.
