 are in compliance with the Construction Industry Qualifications Framework as well as the requirements of CIDB.
 1.7 Committees
By nature of the roles of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), it is imperative that CIDB be independent and transparent in all quality assurance and accreditation activities so as to gain and maintain the trust and confidence of policy makers, the construction industry, its employees and the public in the standards and systems developed and implemented. For this, CIDB has established committees to serve in various purposes, including to provide input for policy decision. The committees consist of resource persons who possess in-depth and specialised knowledge and experience in their respective disciplines to perform such duties as prescribed by CIDB.
The committees that have been established are:
1.7.1 The Accreditation Committee
The Accreditation Committee has the following functions:
i. to review and approve training programmes offered by approved training providers (ATPs) to the construction industry and to ensure that the training programme content is relevant to the requirements of the construction industry and is of a high quality in accordance
with the requirements of CIDB;
