ii. to provide professional and technical advice for mutual recognition of training programme content and requirements; and
iii. to provide guidance and advice to the management of CIDB on the accreditation of training programmes in meeting the needs of the construction industry.
1.7.2 The Institutional Compliance Audit Committee
The procedures of institutional compliance audits may differ according to their respective purposes. Amongst the main functions of the Institutional Compliance Audit Committee are to evaluate and make recommendations on institutional compliance audit reports.
1.7.3 The Construction Industry Qualifications Framework Committee
The functions of the Construction Industry Qualifications Framework (CIQF) Committee are:
i. to establish a framework dedicated to technical and vocational
education and training (TVET) in the construction industry;
ii. to recommend to the board of the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and obtain approval for the CIQF; and
iii. to advise the board in applying the principles of CIQF, monitoring developments and adapting best practices to meet the needs and
circumstances of CIDB.
