Code of Practice for Training Programme Accreditation
i. Personal conflict could include animosity or close relationship between the PA and the Chief Executive Officer or other senior manager of the approved training provider (ATP), or being related to one, or having close relative in the training programme, or if an PA is excessively biased for, or against, the ATP due to some previous events.
ii. Professional conflict could occur if a PA had been a failed trainee for a training programme offered by the ATP, is a previous or current applicant or a candidate for a position in the ATP, is a senior advisor, examiner or consultant to the ATP, or is currently attached to an ATP that is competing with the one being evaluated.
iii. Ideological conflict could be based on differing world views and value systems. An example of this type of conflict would be lack of sympathy to the style, ethos, type or political inclination of the ATP.
5.3 Members of Panel of Accreditation
Potential members for the PA are selected from the CIDB’s Register of Panel. The selection of panel depends on the type of the training programme, the characteristics of the training programme, and the need to have a panel that is coherent and balanced in background and experience.
