Code of Practice for Training Programme Accreditation
The chairperson is expected to collate the reports of the members of the PA and to work closely with them to complete the draft report within the specified time frame. He/she is responsible for organising the contributions from the other team members and to ensure that the overall report is evidence-based, standard-referenced, coherent, logical and internally consistent.
5.3.2 The Panel Member
Panel members are selected so that the PA as a whole possesses the expertise and experience to enable the training programme accreditation to be carried out effectively.
In evaluating the application from the ATP for Approval, Provisional, and Full Accreditation of a programme, the members of the PA shall:
i. assess and ensure that the training programmes submitted for
programme accreditation and the compliance exercise are in compliance with the CIQF, criteria and standards for Programme Accreditation, current policies, the nine areas of evaluation, meet the requirements of the construction industry, as well as against the goals of the ATP and the training programme objectives and outcomes. The assessment and compliance exercise must be completed within the stipulated timeline;
