• The Commuter Card is a stored value card that works like a credit card at transit agency ticket vending machines and ticket windows.
• Cards will be recharged automatically on the 25th on the month prior to each benefit month (January 25 for February benefits)
• Any unused balance will remain on the card for future use
Commuter Benefits Plan Enrollment Details
Credit or Debit?
When using the Commuter Card at a vending machine that accepts both credit and debit cards, be sure to choose “Credit.”
  • You can enroll at any time.
• The enrollment deadline is the 4th of every month for the following month.
For example, you must enroll before December 4 for January benefits. Once you enroll, your transit pass or tickets for
each month will arrive (or your electronic pass will be reloaded or parking provider paid) before the first of the month for which they’re valid. You save on virtually every form of public transportation, as well as on parking at or near work or public transportation. If you pay to park near a station or transit stop and then take public transportation to work, you can sign up for both options to save on both trips.
