ANNUAL STOCK-TAKING
H ow time flies! Yesterday was 2018. Today, we have 2019, with all its challenges, staring us in
the face.
2018 had its own challenges. The department worked assiduously to ensure that the 2017/2018 set of
our students posted outstanding results in the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate
Examination (WASSCE). The teachers made optimum personal sacrifices to engender sterling
performances by the candidates presented by the department in English, French and Igbo Languages
as well as Literature in English.

their efforts to ensure a remarkably improved
and much, much better performance in
WASSCE 2019 than that of their immediate predecessors.
The students are being bombarded with quality lessons and exercises both geared towards kicking
them out of their lethargy towards their studies. Most of them suffer from self-inflicted distractions.
But many of them are now beginning to realize that their performances would depend on the efforts
they put in. I sincerely hope that their improved display of honest efforts would be sustained and
eventually rewarded with resounding successes in WASSCE 2019.
I am appreciative of the steadfastness and dedication of the teachers in the department. Please, do not
relent. Continue to see these children as your children and their success equally as yours. The God we
serve sees your contributions and will surely bless you and your families in His own unique way and at
His own special time.
Finally, my special thanks go to the management of the school for their untiring efforts in promptly
attending to teachers' needs and welfare. With your kind of support and motivation, we promise you
exemplary dedication, co-operation and quality teaching and care of the students.
Hopefully, the students' collective performance in WASSCE 2019, would be ample proof of our
redoubled dedication.
