“Dancers are the athletes of God." ~Albert Einstein

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action and there is no
better way to express this action than through dance and drama. Dance is the hidden language of the soul and
drama is a shaped version of real life. Dance has invigourated our souls and made school a fun place to be.
Every Friday our feet itch to dance and our hearts soar with the thought of the thrill to come. It has been an
          exciting year.
IMPORTANCE OF DANCE AND DRAMA CLUB
v Dance and drama classes improve children's self-confidence and communication skills. Good
communication skills are essential life skills that help children make friends, get the most out of school
and become eloquent and confident adults. Drama teaches children how to speak clearly, loudly and
                  confidently.
v Dance is a good source of fun exercise as it has been clinically proven to reduce obesity and help
maintain a balanced lifestyle. Dance is a creative outlet and so is drama.
v Through dance, children develop a greater range of movement whilst developing the ability to work
within different spaces. They learn to interpret the effect their movement has on the world around
                  them.
v Dancing also improves a child's co-ordination, especially at a time when they are rapidly developing in
an ever-changing and evolving environment. Good co-ordination is vital in developing skills learnt in
other parts of life, such as learning to ride a bike and learning how to multitask successfully.
v Dance makes a unique contribution to the education of all its students through its use of non-verbal
communication. Students have the opportunity to think about how to use movement to explore and
communicate ideas and issues as well as their own feelings and thoughts. As they work, they develop
an awareness of the historical and cultural origins of different dances and as well as their social
                  awareness.

                                                       A POEM

                                                        Outside
In the garden there is a big yellow sun,
I go outside to have some fun,
                                                Children big and small,
Have abilities to help them do it all.
The river that flows and the wind that blows,
                                              Many things fly and goes.
The moon will come, the stars will shine,
                                                 All these are outside.

Outside is where the river flows,
Outside is where the flower grows,
                                            Outside is bright and beautiful,
And things are wise and wonderful.
