Blooms College FROM THE VICE-PRINCIPAL

                                                                               FROM THE VICE-PRINCIPAL

Educa on can be defined as all the posi ve experiences a person gathers in life, from the day of his/her
birth to when he dies through which he is able to contribute his own quota to the development and well-
being of his immediate environment as well as the society in general.

Therefore, educa on is meant to be an all-round ac vity or exposure that a child of school age (Primary
and Secondary schools) should be well exposed to and cultured because this is their forma ve age and
they are be er tutored at this age group than a er when they have already formed or created their path in
         life.

In this sensi ve forma ve age, the children are usually handed over to the care and tutoring of some
people apart from their biological parents and these people are usually the teachers, school support staff
         and their colleagues or friends.

Today, we can all see the kind of educa on products which are somehow half baked, not employable, not
well cultured etc. All these are occurring because the bases of educa on and educa onal ins tu ons are
gradually going into ex nc on. Notwithstanding, we s ll have schools where the original tenets of
educa on and good well-being of the students are s ll the priority. This is possible through the visionary
leaders and staff that are able to understand the visions and missions of the establishment and work very
hard for the achievement of the same.

Blooms College as one of the rare schools that are s ll promo ng the tenets of a total child has as part of
the Vision statement states ''We provide a well-rounded educa on that prepares the child to be a useful
and produc ve member of the society…to educate and prepare children in character…”. The point of
emphasis here is ''character'', a well-educated person is one that is found worthy in learning and character
which is a total child or person.

                                                                                                           183
