FROM THE VICE-PRINCIPAL Blooms College

                                                                               FROM THE VICE-PRINCIPAL

Blooms College being a full boarding ins tu on is fully saddled
with this responsibility as a major part of our calling, making
the college a home away from home for our students, taking
care of their learning, inculca ng good characters in them and
         serving them as “local-parents.”

In 2018/19 academic session, we had a lot of giant stride
ac vi es both in academic and non-academic.

During the year under review, the school organized what we
tagged “Interven on classes” for our students having no ced
that some of them skipped one or two classes in their primary
schools. This was done to balance up their academic
founda onal omissions for us to really be building on a solid
founda on. We thank God this is yielding a posi ve result.

Also, in terms of building confidence in the students, we
engaged them in the public awareness on World AIDS Day in
the neighbourhood which took place on Saturday 1st
December, 2018. It was a fantas c and a very good exposure
         for them. MORAKINYO, Kunle
                                                                                      Vice-Principal

Moreover, as part of public speaking development, our
students took part on a live radio programme which was an interac ve one where the members of the
public were able to contribute through phone calls. The programme was transmi ed/relayed on Saturday
30th March, 2019 on Gree ngs Media popularly called Gree ngs 105.7 F.M. Abuja. Sequel to our students'
performance on the first invita onal programme, the students were s ll invited to cast news and anchor a
live programme tagged “Talk Nigeria'' during the 2019 Children's Day celebra on.

Furthermore, sports development in the school is another major aspect that is also been given a high
priority. The students engaged in a lot of in and out-door games. While swimming has gone beyond
ordinary spor ng ac vity because we as a school have taken it as a life-saving skill, thereby, all our students
are engaging in it twice every month.

In addi on, being young as a school, we took part in an invita onal relay that was held on Saturday 6th
April, 2019 at the Na onal stadium and our students came second both the boys and the girls.

In conclusion, it is crystal clear that at Blooms College, every child is a star and the environment is
completely conducive for them to actually develop and showcase their talents.
