Stages of Light Generation, Habitats,
Clothing/Fashion, I.T. World, Communication in A
Changing World, Fighting World Deadly Diseases
and Transportation.
Nigeria @ 57: Pupils and staff celebrated Nigeria's
independence with songs, drama and poetry.
We were all dressed in the Nigerian colours, green
and white.
Hand Washing: The Global Hand Washing Day
was observed with the theme: Our Hands, Our
Future. We implore parents to reinforce the
importance of hand washing (with soap and
water) in order to keep germs away and to
ensure a safe and secured future for our stars.
French Day: Our passion for the promotion of the
French Language in the school has continued to
grow. Pupils displayed their skills in the language
in various forms: songs, rhymes, drama, etc. The
highlight of the day was the signing of the
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
/Partnership agreement with the French Institute,
Abuja. This ofcially recognises Doveland
International Schools as a partner school with
direct access to resources, trainings and support
of the institute.
World Teacher's Day: Our teachers were
celebrated during last year's World Teacher's Day,
by pupils, parents and our Executive Director, Mrs.
Tina Chukwu. A Gala Night was also organised in
honour of the teachers in the three schools.
Mother's Day: Our mothers were specially
celebrated on Friday March 9, 2018. Thank you
for loving and caring for us.
The turnout for the Annual Walk for Life was quite
impressive. Thanks to Mrs. Fatima Abdullahi for

giving the lecture on 21 century Parenting.
Fun Day: According to our pupils, the Fun Day
was amazing, awesome, fun and stupendous.
Rafe Draw prizes won ranged from TV set, to
refrigerator and water dispensers. Consolation
prizes included a tablet, mobile phones, hand
dryers, asks, electric irons, ash drives, etc. We
appreciate the P.T.A. executives and Class
Representatives for anchoring the programme.

OUR CHANGING WORLD
SWOT Analysis: Primary class teachers wrote
additional reports on their pupils, showing their
Strengths and Weaknesses in the Cognitive,
Affective and Psychomotor domains. Also, club
reports were done at the end of each term.
Parent's Teaching Day: Parents turned up to
welcome children at the gate, conduct Assembly
and teach various topics/concepts across the
classes.
Pupil Led Conference: This exercise afforded
pupils to showcase some of the concepts/skills
they have learnt in different subjects. Some of
them actually assumed the role of teachers,
speaking with so much condence as they used
their I.C.T. skills to aid their presentations.
Science Exhibition/EYFS Exit Points: This year's
Science Exhibition was tagged, 'Changes: All
Around Us.' Pupils made investigations /
researches on various topics like:
The pupils in Early Years talked about what they
had learnt under the following themes:
Everything Changes.
School Play: Our maiden play 'Ovonramwen
Nogbaisi' was epic. The children's performances
were awesome. The school management
appreciates the cooperation of parents, teachers
and pupils.
Prize-Giving / Graduation: Congratulations to all
our graduating pupils and those who got one
award or the other. More power to your elbows
and keep working hard.
Parents Teachers Association: The school
management appreciates the support of our
parents in cash and kind, your presence at all our
programmes and usual understanding; partnering
with us to achieve our set goals for the session.
